3 14-0376 Subject: California Gang Reduction, Intervention And Prevention (CalGRIP) 2015 From: Human Services Department Recommendation: Adopt A Resolution Authorizing The City Administrator To 1) Accept And Appropriate A California Gang Reduction, Intervention And Prevention (CalGRIP) Grant From The California Board Of State And Community Corrections (CBSCC) For S1.5 Million Dollars To Be Received In Three Annual Allocations For The Time Period Of January 1, 2015 Through December 31, 2017; 2) Amend The Existing Oakland Unite Grant Agreement With The Mentoring Center To Increase The Grant In An Amount Not To Exceed $180,000, Add Services For Ceasefire Clients, And Extend The Grant Term Through December 31,2017; 3) Amend The Existing Oakland Police Department Grant Agreement With California Partnership For Safe Communities To Increase The Grant In An Amount Not To Exceed $200,000, Add Services For Ceasefire Best Practices, And Extend The Grant Term Through December 31,2017; 4) Enter Into A New Grant Agreement With Empower Initiative To Provide Support For Ceasefire Community Outreach And Client Mentoring Efforts In An Amount Not To Exceed $75,000 For The Time Period Of January 1,2015 Through December 31,2017; 5) Appropriate Funds To Augment Existing Violence Prevention Services In Oakland Police Department And Human Services Department In An Amount Not To Exceed $970,000 Over The Three Year Project Period; And Waiving The Request For Proposals/Qualifications Requirements And Authorizing An Amendment Of The Agreement With Resource Development Associates For Evaluation Services To Increase Compensation In An Amount Not To Exceed $75,000, Add Additional Program Evaluation Services, And Extend The Agreement Through December 31, 2017
