Recommendation: Receive The Analysis Of The Circulating Ballot Measure Concerning Renter Protections Under The Provisions Of Elections Code Section 9212 And Specifically Including Consistency Witht he City's Charter And Other Ordinances
When reading this opinion, Council members should follow the application of due process principles in an Administrative process. Then, look at the current Rent Adjustment Process. The present adjudication process in Oakland lacks independence. The Board already sits with an unbalanced composition and even persons fraudulently sitting as Commissioners. The Mayor appointed a Commissioner to a 3rd term, in violation of the OMC.
How about a new town motto???? Oakland, the Imperial City!
