I plan to attend and speak on two related topics: 1) the need to make building code & fire safety inspection of warehouses and other building being used for housing a top priority, with progress reports to the City Council on at least a monthly basis; 2) consider establishing a City revolving loan account to provide financing for rehab and upgrading to code existing buildings for reuse as affordable housing.
