Recommendation: Rescind The Action Item Of December 14, 2018 Where Members Of The Oakland City Council Voted Approving "The Children's Initiative Of 2018" AKA Measure AA Which Appeared On The November 6, 2018 General Election Ballot. The Measure Was A $198.00 Parcel Tax Measure Where The Certified Election Results Of The Alameda County Registrar Of Voters Said The Measure Failed Because It Did Not Receive The Supermajority Or 2/3 Voter Approval For Passage. The Council 's Action On December 14, 2018 Was Contrary To The Certified Election Results, Therefore The Error Must Be Corrected; As Soon As Possible On The City Council Agenda
Mr Hazzard is Correct. I support the rescinding of the improper City Council Approval / Certification of Measure AA. I strongly ask the New Members of the Council to lead in rectifying this poor self-serving interpterion. The City must recede from this Bad Judgement. Oakland's Future is going to be dependent on doing what is right. The Coliseum Redevelopment project is in negative state. As it's allocation on 2012 division of Redevelopment Funds have been lent to things like rental of rooms in other area transit villages for 2023~2057. Unaccountable(Extra cost of 66th Avenue Property) offsets will force the A's to Portland. Like Warriors, & Raiders. What is really bad for this City is that both those franchises are going to flourish. So SELL Oakland's 1/2 to A's. EQUAL to County $$$. Retire those BONDS. Then come up with a REAL plan for the future, Infrastructure for Public in 2020 Election. As a member of "The Public". A True, well thought out package. We would Support. Thank You Gene
