Hello. I am an Oakland resident and I call to pass this resolution without amendment. We must stand with the Palestinian people. It is an Oakland issue - because our government is funding a genocide with our tax dollars. It is a Racial Justice issue. It is an environmental issue. The Israeli state is an apartheid state and are actively killing and ethnic cleansing an entire people. We must fall for an immediate and permanent ceasefire. It is not a anti-Semitic and it is simply ignorant to call it such. Ceasefire now and free Palestine. Palestine has been subjected to extreme violence and displacement for the last 75 years. We must commit to standing with Palestine, now.
