The number has reached over 20,000 murdered Palestinians, almost half of which are children, who knows how many are lost, dead or slowly dying under the rubble.
The animals in Gaza are shaking with fear, there is no room for any life.over 60 journalists murdered and some of their families too.Over 40 Palestinian lineages completey destroyed and erased of the face of the planet. Children are being amputated without anesthesia, mother's having c-sections without anesthesia. A doctor had to ampute his child's limbs without anesthesia and they died from the pain. Parents are writing the names of their children on them so that when they are dismembered they will be identified, their is footage of parents sifting through the limbs of dead children looking for their babies, Babies who have died in their incubators as the hospitals ran out of fuel, as doctors are forced to watch even though they have warned us for weeks. They have had their death certificate before their birth certificate.
Palestinians have had to resort to drinking unsanitary water as water, food, electricity and fuel was cut off by Israel.Who is the opresser and who is the opressed in this scenario? The ones cutting off the basic necessities for life and refusing to allow any aid or the Palestinians who are not even allowed to collect rain water as even rainwater is owned by Israel?Graphic images are being taken down because they do not want you to see the truth, but the truth cannot be hidden, permanent CF now!

I am a mixed race transgender Jew born and raised in the Bay Area and residing in Oakland, and I strongly support this resolution. It is imperative that we fight to end the brutal genocide Israel is enacting upon Palestinians with impunity. It is our moral obligation to ensure that “Never Again” means Never Again for ANYONE. Passing this resolution will be a vital step towards the pursuit of justice not only for Palestinians but for all people of the world. Ceasefire now, end the occupation, dismantle the zionist apartheid regime, and free Palestine!

I'm a resident of Oakland District 1 and I implore the Council to vote Yes on this ceasefire resolution. More than 14,000 Palestinians have been killed, more than 5,800 of whom are children. As a US taxpayer, I don’t want my money to fund these atrocities, and I’m asking my City Council to represent me and others who do not want to continue to be complicit in these murders. Please stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and call for a ceasefire.

I urge our council to stand up alongside the vast majority of residents who are sickened by the genocide unfolding before us. No more of our tax dollars to support this heinous, self-serving assault on innocent human beings.

Thank you council member for bringing this forward. A call to ceasefire should only be the first step. Too many innocent lives have been lost. As someone who grew up in Jerusalem and have seen first hand what years of failed policies and oppressions leads to, the U.S., starting at local governments, need to play the important role of bringing about fair and sustainable solutions. The blind support of one side have lead us here. Before October 7th, human rights organizations universally agreed that the treatment of Palestinians was equivalent to apartheid. 50% of Gaza is children under the age of 18 that were born in an open air prison, and have never been given the chance at or a path to a descent life. We cannot play a role in subjecting people to such oppression and expect security and peace. Our tax dollars are better spent on more productive and fair policies than the ones that lead us here. Or at the very least, our local challenges here in Oakland and greater California. Not weapons that have been used to indiscriminately take the lives of 8000+ children so far.
